CNY Neuropsychology Telemedicine
CNY Neuropsychology has developed the capacity to conduct evaluations and therapy sessions using an internet-based computer program to make services more accessible to those who, for whatever reason, are unable to come in for an office visit.
What is Telemedicine or Telehealth?
Telemedicine refers to the ability to conduct clinical services using the internet over a computer, tablet, or cell phone. An internet-based platform called Doxy.me is used to host the session. It is a site specifically designed for use by medical professionals that insures privacy and adheres to HIPPA guidelines.
Nervous about technology and computers?
No worries!! Our office manager, Steven Polich, can walk you through the set-up process and do a trial run with you before your first session with Dr. Covington to ensure that you are comfortable with process. Most people come to really enjoy the convenience of meeting from the comfort of their own home.
How does it work?
You will be sent an email that has a link to Dr. Covington's virtual waiting room. It will ask you to put in your first name then you just wait until she is available and signs on to the computer. You will be able to see and hear her and she will be able to see and hear you.
